Mission Statement - "St. John's provides physical, emotional, social and Christian care for all people, with dignity and respect, in an environment of God's grace"

St. John's Lutheran Home is located in Southern Minnesota at the intersection of Interstates 35 and 90. Our home is in the community of Albert Lea which is a great place to live and work.

The St. John's campus is sponsored by twenty-four area Lutheran Congregations. St. John's is under the direction of a local Board of Directors. Board members have close ties to the community and St. John's. They have a vested interest in assuring that the residents or tenants receive the best of care and services.

The St. John's Lutheran Home offers two specialized areas of care. St. John's has a special memory unit called Sheltering Arms for people with memory loss. Sheltering Arms provides a nurturing, quiet and safe enviroment for residents. St. John's also offers a short-term stay unit for people recovering from a recent surgery or illness. Nutritional meals, skilled nursing services and therapies help prepare people for returning home.

Our devoted and many long-term employees are dedicated to enhancing the lives of our residents by seeing them as unique individulas. Staff is encouraged to put the person before the task.

Whether you are planning a short-term stay or making this your new home, you are part of our family.
