This is a full time Managerial Position
The primary purpose of the Director of Activities is to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the Activities Programs in accordance with current existing federal, state and local standards, as well as St. John's established policies and procedures to assure that the spiritual, emotional, recreational and social needs of the residents are met and maintained on an individual basis.
Must have the following to apply:
You are either a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional, or have 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, 1 of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting, or you are a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant, or you have completed a training course approved by the State.
Must have a sincere desire to work with the elderly and/or disabled.
Two (2) years work experience in long term care is preferred.
